Mother's Day!

Ok...so I know I am a little late on this post but the last few weeks have been crazy with Summer approaching very quickly! I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day with my wonderful family! The morning started out great and felt very special. Paityn and Conner wrote me a card with the help of their daddy and bought me a beautiful necklace with a boy and girl on it with their birthstone. I had been telling Matt I wanted something to represent the  twins and I got it :) I love it!! After opening my gift we headed to my sister's house for our annual Mother's Day celebration. I could not of asked for a more special day. I was surrounded by people I love and had the best feeling in the world knowing that I am a mom. Being a mom changes everything and gives you a new perspective on life. The little things you normally never thought or even care about mean the most. I never knew I could be so happy by seeing Paityn and Conner smile, laugh, or holding them. Even watching them sleep warms my heart! There are a million other things I enjoy about being a mom but would not have enough room in my blog to list them all!! Thank you Paityn and Conner for making my first Mother's Day amazing!! I love you!!

6 Months

Today we took Paityn and Conner for their 6 month check up. All is great minus Paityn having double ear infections yet again. Lucky for us though, she is typically never cranky or fussy and we don't even know she has them. Hopefully they will clear up soon and not come back because if they continue to occur...tubes were mentioned. Besides the ear infections Dr. Meyer said Paityn and Conner are doing great and she was surprised at some of the things they are already doing since they were born early. Conner has begun scooting...although his poor little face is pushed into the floor and Paityn rolls from tummy to back and can roll to both sides but not quite all the way over yet. Paityn weighs 19 lbs 10 oz, 95th %, and is 26 1/2 inches, 95th %. Conner weighs 18 lbs 2 oz, 90th %, and is 26 inches, 85th %. Both and talking all the time, laughing, making funny sounds, and loving chewing on the hands and fingers. We feel so blessed and love our babies so much!! It is just amazing to watch them grow and change from day to day! Also, below are a few of their 6 months pics :)

Cherished Time

Time is something that is hard to come by in the Macat household. However, on Saturday Matt and I were lucky enough to enjoy the day together in College Station alone. My mom watched the babies and we just has "us time". Although, while out we managed to buy Paityn and Conner new toys and their highchairs they have been in need of. We had a really nice day. We ate lunch and shopped a little. Then, on Sunday we celebrated and watched our nephew Keaton make his First Holy Communion. Congratulations Keaton!! We are so proud of you :)

Easter Sunday

Easter has come and gone and we could not be more blessed during this time. We enjoyed Easter Sunday with family, got to color Easter eggs, and play games :) Paityn and Conner were amazed at the eggs and their presents! LOL After coloring eggs we played games with the leftover eggs and could help but feel like a kid again. Matt, me, Shannon, Lance, Kennedy, and Keaton played egg toss and had numerous hilarious egg relay races. This was definitely a day to remember and think it will become a new tradition :)
