Week 27: Paityn & Conner
Pregnancy Highlights for the Week:
How Far Along: 27 Weeks
Dilated: 2 cm
Effaced: 50%
Size: We find out exactly on Tuesday at our Measurement Ultrasound!
Baby changes: This week, your babies weigh almost 2 pounds each and are about 14 1/2 inches long with their legs extended. They're sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing their eyes, and perhaps even sucking their fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your babies brains are very active now. While their lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if they were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him or her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Best Moments this week: Measurement Ultrasound on Tuesday
Movement: It is amazing to watch the large lumps appear on my belly as each baby moves and pushes a portion of their body in order to try to make room for themselves. Also, it is neat to see the ripples run across my belly as Conner and Paityn move!
Food Cravings: Fruit
What I miss: Working and being able to go out to eat.
Sleep: Off and on...it is becoming hard to get comfortable plus I wake up every few hours.
What I am looking forward to: Measurement ultrasound & the diaper bags and bows I ordered coming in :)
Symptoms: Backache
